Post and Share a File

You can post a document or file. It will be uploaded into the app for others to view or download.

 

The accepted file formats are the following: Adobe Acrobat (pdf), Microsoft Word (doc, docx), Microsoft Excel (xls, xlsx, csv), Microsoft Powerpoint (ppt, pptx), Apple Keynote (key), Apple Pages (pages), Apple Numbers (numbers), Text (txt).  

 

 If you are in Messages, start with step 2 below.

 

To post and upload a file, follow these steps:

1. Tap the post prompt. This post prompt can be on the home newsfeed, in one of your groups, or in one of your events.

2. Tap the document icon. This opens the device's file folder.

 If you are in a group or event and you don't see the document icon, this means that posting a document is not enabled.

 

3. Find the file you want to post and upload. If you are on a browser, tap the Open or Upload button.

 

4. After the file has uploaded, you will see the post box. Type a title. 

 

5. To change the background image, tap the pencil icon. Select a photo or upload one from your device.

6. (Optional) Type something about the file in the post box. You have different formatting options for this copy.

 

7. Tap the Post button.
