This article explains how a transferred ticket can be accepted or claimed. When someone purchases a ticket for event, the purchaser has the option of transferring the ticket to someone else. The recipient can be an app user or not.
Claiming the ticket requires signing up in the app first if you are not an existing app user..
How You're Notified
As a recipient of a ticket, you will be notified via an email. The subject line will be something like this (where the purchaser's name is stated): Mary Smith has sent you a ticket!
The body of the email will include the event title, date, and ticket identifier. There will be an clickable button to accept the ticket.
Claiming the Event Ticket
1. Tap the Claim Ticket button in the email. You will be directed to a browser.
2. If you are an app user, you will log in. If you are not an app user yet, you will sign up.
3. On the Claim Ticket screen, tap the Claim Ticket button.
4. Tap the Ok button. You will see this message: Ticket claimed successfully!
5. Tap the View Event button.
6. On the event group header, tap View Ticket to see your ticket. This QR code is used for admission at an in-person event.
After finishing these steps, the ticket is now under your name. You have been added as an attendee.
