Groups are a way to segment audiences.
A group can have one or more subgroups.
When a user joins a subgroup they are automatically joined into the parent group.
A group is managed by one or more admins.
The admin controls all aspects of that group independently of other groups in the network. Any admin can delete the group.
Group access/visibility:
- Can be open for anyone to join (Public)
- Can require approval to join (Private)
- Can be entirely invisible on the app (Secret)
Groups can be set up to provide:
- Static information (like an About Us web page that doesn't change often)
- Regular updates and posts (like a blog or report about something recent)
- Member participation (like on social media or a community forum)
